Hello, my name is Jasiel Rivera Trinidad. I am a computer science student at the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras Campus🇵🇷. I have experience with Python, JavaScript, C++, and web development technologies. Most of the time im working with or learning new technologies, you can find some of my projects below.
ContactI am currently employed as a software engineer at DECEP UPRRP, where I am contributing to the development of a web platform designed to facilitate course enrollment for both high school and college students. The project is constructed utilizing industry-leading technologies such as Django, Bootstrap, and PostgresSQL, and my work involves leveraging these tools to deliver a reliable, scalable, and user-friendly solution.
Proferank is a web application that enables students from
different universities in Puerto Rico to rate their professors
based on the courses they teach. The application includes a
login system with Google authentication, which allows users to
securely log in using their Google accounts. Additionally,
Proferank has a comment/like system that enables users to leave
feedback and react to other users' reviews.
The application is built using popular technologies such as
Django, TailwindCSS, vanilla JavaScript, and PostgresSQL, which
enable users to navigate and interact with the application
smoothly. Proferank is deployed on a Linode server, which
involved setting up a Linux server, installing Apache, UFW, SSL
certificates, and setting up a custom domain.
This is my personal blog, its built using Ghost CMS and hosted on a Digital Ocean droplet. I use it to write about my projects and other things I find interesting.
The Sentiment Analysis web tool is a side project I built using Flask, NLTK, and Matplotlib. It uses the VADER sentiment analysis library to analyze the sentiment of posts in a subreddit and generates graphs to visualize the results. The application is served by a Flask server, which ensures a seamless delivery of the tool's outputs to end-users. Overall, the Sentiment Analysis web tool is a simple yet effective application that provides valuable insights into the sentiment of online communities.
Media.Find is a project that was created in just two days during a hackathon hosted by IDI-BD2K. It is a user-friendly web application designed to help users find similar media based on their preferences. The application is hosted on Heroku using the Flask framework and the Wikidata API, which enables efficient searching of a wide range of media types.
Kavita Project is an investigation project directed by Dra. Patricia Ordoñez. It is meant to enable voice programing for programmers that have dificulties coding with their hands.
